You know how they say we go through different seasons in life. I never did get that. And then, you go through a valley and voila! So that’s how winter feels like. Everything is dull, grey, frozen and cold. Nothing seems to move and you wonder when it’s going to end.
And then I decided there were things you could do during winter. Ice-skating, snowboarding and skiing…things you wouldn’t be able to do otherwise and you almost don’t want winter to end. I’m speaking figuratively here. I have to say I’ve had more new experiences than ever before in all my life during my winter.
You can be still in your thoughts to reflect and yet still move on in life. And move on we must. Well, winter is finally over for me; a realization that was apparent a few months back. It’s time to get out of hibernation mode. Take all those winter lessons and see what can be applied. One thing for sure, you’re just as fit if not fitter from all that exercise. It’s time to flex those muscles for some serious sowing this spring.
Sowing into my son’s life. Sowing into my colleagues’ lives. Sowing into projects. Sowing into writing. Sowing into a cause. Sowing into other women’s lives. Sowing into my own life. Sowing into His Kingdom. We know that planting good seeds will bear us good fruit.
You may be going through your winter at the moment. There’s a season for everything. Immerse from it better, not bitter. Just know that spring is around the corner and you will see the flower buds appearing once again. Through it all, hope abounds.
